In face of the growing challenges that misinformation and disinformation pose to contemporary societies, diverse associations from all around Europe have decided to join forces through the creation of GAMEDIA, an Erasmus+ project that aims to provide youth workers with tools for training youngsters in media literacy while making them aware of the relevance of these phenomena.

They are CEIPES, from Italy; MIR AKADEMIEN AB, from Sweden; Dideas SL, from Spain; Unique Projects, from Lithuania; and Scout Society, from Romania.

Last 31st January has been a significant day for the whole GAMEDIA consortium, since all partners have had the great opportunity to meet in person in the welcoming city of Uppsala, in Sweden.

The occasion served as a pivotal moment in the project’s development. The meeting was rich of fruitful discussions fundamental for setting the solid basis of the project. After sharing and analyzing together the findings from the initial local research conducted by all the partners, the whole consortium was engaged in the ideation process of one of the main project’s results: the GAMEDIA game, a card game that will empower young individuals with the skills needed to navigate the digital world with confidence and discernment.
